ABT SportsLine VW Volkswagen Polo R WRC Special Edition RamSpeed

Volkswagen Polo WRC recently got some serious enhancements from ABT. Enhancements made are in a number of aspects such as engine, aerodynamics, sports wheels, suspension, and interior. Not that VW already has more than just a capable product, ABT has further refined it and created a special edition out of the VW Polo. Here’s what they have done:

Engine and performance: The standard engine power was 2,0 TSI 162 kW (220 HP), 350 Nm which has been raised to approx. 213 kW (290 HP), 420 Nm by ABT. Engine tuning has always been the specialty of ABT SportsLine and hence the superior output results.

Aerodynamics: The aerodynamics and bodyline accounts for how much air resistance the vehicle takes and effects the car’s performance levels ultimately. This is why ABT has installed an ABT-REAR Add-On which is made up of PMMA / not primed / carbon optic. This is lightweight and provides for better air flow to the rear increasing fuel efficiency and handling abilities of the vehicle.

Wheels: ABT released sports wheels come in two variants.

  • The ABT- DR of dimension 18 inches and in Mystic Black color
  • And the ABT-ER -C 18 Inches in Gun Metal color

The 18 inchers are neither too shabby nor too flashy and provide for an addition to the overall look and feel of the vehicle.

Suspension: For providing more than just a comfortable ride and real driving pleasure, ABT has pitched in new suspension springs from their innovative abilities. These springs provide for FA-load: up to 940 kg, RA-load: up to 820 kg and lowering of FA/RA ca. 15 mm to the vehicle.

Interior: The ABT integrated entrance lights with velour floor mat set decorate the interior and completely compliment the exterior. The ABT logo shines through adding the much-required panache to the interior.
