AC Schnitzer celebrates a special anniversary with the limited edition ACL2S special tuning range for the BMW M240i

Celebrating its 30th anniversary, AC Schnitzer will give its fans the limited edition ACL2S special tuning range for the BMW M240i. The special tuning package will be launching at the upcoming 2017 Geneva Motor Show in March.

AC Schnitzer has produced only 30 sets of the high-quality base conversion kit. The project kicks off with a performance upgrade with motorsport heritage, taking it from 250 kW/340 hp/500 Nm to a generous 294 kW/400 hp and 600 Nm. The Aachen-based tuning specialists give ACL2S an amazing voice with incredible silencer system made of V2A stainless steel, exhaust flap, connecting pipe and sound pipe.

Additionally, AC Schnitzer has included its fully adjustable RS suspension kit, lowering the car as to the asphalt by approx. 35 – 45 mm at the front and approx. 40 – 50 mm at the rear. The adjustable suspension gives the customer the option to adjust height, compression, and rebound.

The aero kit is also unique – the ten-piece “ACL2S” widening kit ensures an impressive 80 mm wider look at front and rear. A series of carbon fiber upgrades, from a front spoiler and splitter to carbon fiber side mirrors, side skirts, rear roof spoiler and a carbon fiber wing give a dynamic and exclusive driving pleasure. In the lower region, the rear diffuser rounds up the carbon fiber additions.

Talking about interiors, AC Schnitzer remains true to its company philosophy “Beyond the Standard”. A host of interior trim pieces have been added, including an aluminum handbrake handle, aluminum pedal set, aluminum footrest (both matt anodized), velours floor mats, special “One of Thirty” badging and a three-spoke leather steering wheel with color-matched stitching. ACL2S is fitted with AC1 Alloys Wheels in BiColor Black/Silver in 19″ which can now be fitted in 8.5J x 19″ with 235/35 R 19 tyres on the front, and 9.5J x 19″ with 265/30 R 19 on the rear.

The Munich car comes with several extra options, which include the instrument cluster with speed up to 300 km/h, the V-Max extension to 280 km/h, and a control display

The entire ACL2S basic conversion kit inclusive of all components, fitting, registration and 19% VAT, comes in at € 35,900.
