BMW 1 Series E82 128i / 135i The 1-series Coupe is a worthy successor to the BMW 2002, proportionally and technically. This BMW Coupe is currently the most powerful standard version and is powered by a "charged" engine. In the 1-series Coupe, the features are even more polished, thanks to the AC Schnitzer accessories. The extensive AC Schnitzer body kit includes a front grille that is particularly impressive and is far more than mere decoration. The front spoiler elements, the rear skirt insert and the rear wing and rear roof spoiler increase down force and ensure better ground adhesion. AC Schnitzer supplies optional aluminum struts, as used in motor sports. AC Schnitzer also offers a range of sporting alloy wheels for the ACS1 3.5i. As the rear silencer sounds off with its refined "Racing" tailpipe baritone, it goes without saying that AC Schnitzer has effectively rounded out the look.
BMW 1 Series E88 Cabrio The ACS1 Convertible Viewed from its roof construction, the new 1-series Cabrio is a classic softy. But under its soft shell lurks a hard masculine cornering machine which isn't pushed aside by anyone: especially in the AC Schnitzer version. As honed as a high performance athlete, the car cuts a fine figure even in the car park. Performance Upgrades Engine tuning and performance upgrades have a long tradition at AC Schnitzer. To be on the safe side however, we prefer not to extract the maximum possible power but instead ensure greater robustness, which means a longer life of the engine. Many of our diesel performance upgrades are therefore designed for an increase in torque rather than an increase in horsepower. Because torque is what you feel when for example you're "pressed back in the seat" on pulling away. The Suspension Technology Any pursuer's hopes of overtaking the agile 1-series on
Praised by the independent automotive press, the 1 series M Coupé in its standard form offers a high level of motorsport atmosphere. And now the AC Schnitzer engineers and technicians have eliminated and corrected the compromises resulting from mass production, and achieved a final set up which leaves nothing to be desired. Less is more here: for example, the high performance brake system which ensures stable deceleration even under extended use and extreme heat, and - although generously dimensioned - saves a clear 4 kg weight. A further 24 kg weight has been shaved off with the use of Type VIII forged alloy rims in 19". This reduction in unsprung mass translates for you into an perceptible agility gain of over 100 kg in everyday driving. Brakes High performance brake system, consisting of: 6-piston fixed caliper, front 4-piston fixed caliper, rear slotted, internally vented brake discs (front: 380 x 35 mm, rear: 355 x 32
